Jude Ememe, a PhD holder in Leadership and Organizational Management from Walden University, USA, was a 1997/1998 Humphrey Fellow in Economic/Finance and Banking at Boston University, Massachusetts USA. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London. He currently runs a financial training/consultancy outfit, Traindem Services, after an illustrious career in the Banking and Finance sector where he attained the height of MD/CEO of the former ACB International Bank Plc. He is the Founder, Joy Bringers Foundation, a non-profit he actively runs to provide personality re-characterization in the four prisons in Lagos State – a character/vocational building project established in 2012.
Hon. Justice Opeyemi Oke, the 16th and 6th female Chief Judge of Lagos State, is a 1999/2000 Humphrey Fellow of American University (Washington D.C) – Fulbright Scholar specializing in Judicial Reform, Conflict Management and Social Justice. She was appointed the Acting Chief Judge of Lagos State on 25th September, 2017 and was subsequently sworn in as the substantive Chief Judge of Lagos State on the 20th day of October, 2017. She was Chairman of the High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) Rules Review Committee from 2000 – 2012; Head of Fast Track Division of the High Court from 2004 – 2008 and 2012 – 2014; and from 2008-2014, the first Chairman of the Governing Council of the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse.
Professor Olayinka Akanke Abosede is a 1988/89 Humphrey Fellowship alumna of John Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. While there she gained experiences from short attachments at UNICEF, the World Bank and New York City Health Department where she assisted with the design of NY Child Health (Growth Monitoring) Cards. She was Country Representative to USAID Partners and Nigeria’s global volunteer for Health Information and Child Health Information for All (HIFA & CHIFA). She was pioneer Chairman of the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board and was Chairman, Lagos State Chapter of Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria.
Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, former Lagos State Governor, was a 1998/1999 Humphrey Fellow at Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts where he studied Economic Development/Finance and Banking. He worked for 27 years in the Lagos State Civil Service as accountant responsible for financial activities of the state and as Accountant General, was directly responsible for over 1400 accountants in the state’s service, before becoming the 14th Governor of Lagos in 2015. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Brandsmiths Consulting Limited, a company founded to provide public sector finance and management consulting services.
Dr. Reuben Abati was a 1996/1997 Humphrey Fellow at the University of Maryland, College Park where he studied Communications and Journalism. He has bachelor's degree in Law from Lagos State University; a doctoral degree in Theatre Arts, specializing in Dramatic Literature, Theory and Criticism from the University of Ibadan; and a Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Said Business School, University of Oxford. He is a Nigerian Journalist, Politician, Television Anchor and Newspaper Columnist.
Barrister Anna Darius Ishaku, Taraba State First Lady, was a 2006/2007 Humphrey Fellow at the University of Minnesota where she studied Law and Human Rights and did professional affiliation with Hamline University Mediation Center for Dispute Resolution. She graduated with Law degree from Ahmadu Bello University after which she worked for the Kaduna State government for over 30 years in various capacities including as Director of Public Prosecutions and Solicitor General of the state. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hope Afresh Foundation, a nonprofit she started to provide lasting and quality empowerment to Tarabans.
Dr. Agwogie was a 2017/2018 Humphrey Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond where he specialized in Substance Use Prevention, Treatment and Policy; and a 2020 Distinguished Humphrey Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School of Executive Education, Massachusetts. He is the Founder/Executive Director, Global Initiative on Substance Abuse (GISA); the National President of the International Society of Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Professionals (ISSUP Nigeria) and the Assistant Coordinator, International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR) in Africa. He has over 25 years experience in drug control, part of which was with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Dr. Cecilia Olayide Amotsuka was a 2000/2001 Humphrey Fellow at Emory University, where she studied Public Health Policy and Management. She is a healthcare practitioner specialising as a General Practitioner (GP) in Oyo State, Nigeria.
Dr. Osita Okonkwo was a 2009/2010 Humphrey Fellow at Tulane University, Louisiana. He is a highly skilled and experienced public health expert with technical and managerial competences in health systems strengthening in developing country contexts and around maternal neonatal and child health (MNCH), HIV, WASH, malaria, nutrition and programme coordination in conflict and post conflict environments. He has 15+ years of program management experience in Nigeria, South Sudan and Sierra Leone, with technical competencies in the development of health programs, strategies, policies, planning, budgeting, implementation research, monitoring and evaluation of programs.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Alumni Association in Nigeria was established as a platform for alumni of the HHH Fellowship program to share ideas and join efforts to bring social change. She has an extensive experience in programme design nd implementation, Support of Orphans and Vulnerable Children, and special expertise in human trafficking prevention. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Children Emergency Relief Foundation, an executive member of the National Council of Child Rights Advocate of Nigeria (NACCRAN) and established The Christ Army Academy in her effort to support vulnerable Children.
She is the recipient of 2018 Distinguished Leadership Award for International of the University of Minnnesota, State of Minnesota of the United States of America; the only Alumnus/former Humphrey Fellow of the University from Nigeria to have received that award, she is also a 2021 recipient of the Achievers Award for her effort in impacting the Youths in Africa.

She served as a National Advisor on the 2SCALE project (Toward Sustainable Clusters in Agribusiness through Learning in Entrepreneurship), a five-year Dutch-funded project (2012 to 2017) supporting business ideas from the private sector that addresses both commercial and development objectives. She also served as the Exporter Voices Lead on the Trade Policy Workstream of the Policy Development Facility program of UKAID (now FCDO).

Hon. Justice Eniola Adejare Fabamwo was a 2010/2011 Humphrey Fellow at the American University, Washington College of Law where she specialized in International Law and Human Rights and gained more insights on Human rights, through professional development courses and hands-on visit to prisons in the United States. Dr. Nnenna Nina Chigbo was 2010/2011 Humphrey Fellow at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. She currently serves as the President, Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP), the umbrella organisation for registered physiotherapists in Nigeria and the diaspora, where she offers leadership to over 5,000 practising physiotherapists and acts as a bridge between the old and the young. She is also the Education Director for the World Physiotherapy-International Physiotherapists in HIV/AIDS, Oncology, Hospice and Palliative Care.
